Here at Paul Mitchell Ohio, we are always working on continuous improvements in our working environment. Every single thing we do at PMOhio directly impact’s our customer’s experience with us. The same principal applies to our environment- everything we do impacts the environment, and it can be good or bad. It can be easy to get overwhelmed when considering making an impact on the whole world, it is actually simple to get started.
A few months ago, our CEO Mike Lang asked all of the employees for ideas to help make Paul Mitchell Ohio a greener company. With Earth Day coming up on April 22, this is the perfect time to think about how all of our everyday actions can impact the environment. All of our employees got together in the morning “Pow Wow” and came up with some excellent ideas. Some suggestions included recycling containers at an easily accessible location, a water dispenser, more efficient lighting, sending unused marketing materials to be recycled into purses, email campaigns instead of postal mail, lowering the thermostat in the winter, and a cardboard shredder to recycle cardboard as packing material. So far, we are getting excellent feedback from our customers about the new recycled packing material. To date, we have implemented many great ideas and are working on a plan to continuously improve. Check out our “Going Green Initiative” on our web site: http://www.pmohio.com/green.shtml . We welcome any of your “Going Green” success stories! We will be sure to keep you posted on our progress. Here are a few photos of ideas that we have already implemented:
